I always try to charge for mentoring and consulting services reasonable fees that are flexible depending on scope of work and student’s efforts. But special circumstances could always exist, when ethical principles and moral rules take priority over monetary reward. I understand that everyone could unexpectedly find himself in exceptionally difficult financial situation. But there are 10 years limit to pass OBU RAP and people could not wait until their fate again smiles at them! If you could not afford to pay for mentoring services, write me a letter with explanation. I believe in social and ethical responsibility, especially if it concerns professionals from ACCA fraternity. Depending on your case, I am very likely to response with proposal of “service for service” (like writing interesting article for my website, or advertisement in social networks), with suggestion of partial or full deferment of payment, or with offer of genuinely free mentoring services.
